Journals
Keeping and sharing your thoughts
I started a journal to write my feelings in and to share with my kids when they get older. I find myself looking forward to writing in the joys of the day. These thoughts comfort me like a warm blanket on a cold night. Reminding me there is so much to be thankful for.
I have given each of the children their own journal and lump of clay. When they get mad, sad or don't even know what they are feeling they mold the clay, working it and in time turn that piece of clay into words in their journal. They don't always share their writings with me which is fine. Some of the things I write are not for them to see yet. When we do share our writings we make time to sit and talk about what we thought the other person was writing.
I wish I had started this earlier in their life seeing what they write and watching them keep a record of their changes is a great joy to me. We are learning so much about ourselves and each other.
I hope you will try it even if you share it with no one but yourself. See what amazing things happen each and everyday.
