Star Wars Around the Campfire
The Star Wars Interactive Story

I can remember sitting around a campfire when I was younger telling stories which were continued by the next person around the circle. It allowed everyone to be involved, and each person could take the storyline in any direction he or she wished.

The advent of the Star Wars Interactive Story online takes this kind of ad lib story telling to a new level. This site, maintained by Griffin Bryant, allows the viewer to submit new chapters of the stories found there. Griffin reviews these submissions, editing them if necessary for grammar and punctuation, and posts them as new chapters of the given story.

At any given time, there are about three stories running. The viewer can read through each chapter submitted by other people and decide what should happen next. The viewer may then write a chapter and email it to Griffin.

Chapters are rarely turned away, except when Griffin wants to end a story, in which case he takes many submissions and decides on the best one. Chapters can be of any length, although he prefers to have longer chapters as opposed to dozens of short ones.

Current stories at the site include Jabba's Ultimatum and The Death Sun. Jabba's Ultimatum is currently taking entries for the end of the story, while The Death Sun is relatively new.

If you are feeling the urge to use your creative talents, I suggest you stop in and check out this excellent site. You can decide the fate of Han, Luke, Vader, and Boba Fett. Griffin likes to get as much material as possible, so do not hesitate to send him something.

May the Force Be With You, Always.

Be sure to watch for the first installment of my Star Wars story, The Bothan Contingent, which will be the first in a series of stories about the New Republic's secret special operations team.

The Death Star
Jared Wold maintains this site which contains links to the best of the Star Wars Galaxy on the web. Each site is painstakingly reviewed by the author, and sites are rated based on content, quality of the formatting, and aesthetic appeal.

The New Republic
Definitely my favorite site at the moment. It has some of the best graphics to be found anywhere in cyberspace. When I have time, I plan to give the author, Christian McFadden, a run for his money as far as graphics are concerned. In addition to the great graphics, his links and other info are simply outstanding. He gets four stars, even though he doesn't have a link to my site yet.

The Complete Star Wars Listing
Another excellent link site. It is broken down by category, and I use it to help categorize my own links. Very user friendly, although I could do without the italicized URLs that are below each link.

Chris Hawkin's Links
This site is a must see. It has over 560 links to the Star Wars Galaxy on the Web, and it is presented in a very user friendly format. This is the one I use for my links, and I try to keep up with Chris, but reviewing all these sites takes a lot of time, so he is always ahead.

The Emperor's Hammer
This is truly one of the best sites out there, linking over 2400 members of the Dark Side of the Force on the web. This site has great graphics and plenty of information.
