Online doggie magazines
all you wanted to peruse and more!

Yes, there is plenty of dog-related reading material online. To date our focus has been on training and topic-specific articles, but there are many sites of a more general canine nature out there to explore.

To make the most of your online time plan to browse these sites and bookmark those that most interest you -- for monthly review! To start you off, here is a listing of familiar doggie magazine sites. Some of these titles you will have seen on your local news stand. Some net sites interest you in their magazine by previewing the current issue and will contain only excerpts of certain articles.

Dog Fancy On-line lists the July issue's table of contents (the hypertext brings up article excerpts) -- but best of all this site features an index of past articles up to and including their July 1994 issue. Those of you with kids, as well as dogs, in the family will want to check out Dog Fancy's K-9 Kid's department too.

World Dog Magazine's July issue features the Irish Setter and has a good question and answer section.

"Canine Review has been around for almost two decades, keeping dog show exhibitors in Canada, the United States and around the world informed on what's happening in the show rings."Canine Review Magazine provides information on Dog Shows schedules and results as well as articles.

Canine Connections on-line magazine and information service Claims to be "your one-stop resource for locating all the best dog related information on the world wide web."

International Cyberzine for Working Dogs covers herding, tracking, as well as general interest topics like: Feeding the Working Dog; Traveling With Your Dog; and many more working dog-related articles.

Good Dog Magazine lists it's self as "the consumer magazine for dog owners."

Those of you prefering the hard copy of a canine publication may be interested in looking at this listing obtained through Media Finder.

Another source for hard copies, other than your local news stand, is The Dog InfoMAT which lists Resources for Dog Lovers by topic such as: Comprehensive & Reference; Selection & Purchasing; General Puppy/Dog Care; Behavior & Training; Health & Veterinary; Miscellaneous; Publisher's Sites & Other Book Links.

Good reading!
