Our Route

We are back home: Bags are unpacked and life has returned (somewhat) to normal. Luckily we have the memories and photographs of a wonderful trip, now over. It seems odd to be on "firm ground" again, and not traversing whole countries by train. Familiar faces, familiar language. It's good to be home.

The vacation may be over, but our "Postcards" are still alive.

Visit "Postcards" to share Nancy and my experiences on the road and take advantage of the list of resources we found useful when planning our trip. If you find Web resources or travel information you think would be useful on these pages please send them to me and I will be sure to include them.

For first time visitors to "Postcards", please have a look at the Introduction to learn about our travel plans. In brief, our trip took us to Prague, Hungary (Budapest, The Danube Bend, and Gyor) and Romania (Bucharest and Transalvania)

For information about Prague
For information about Hungary
For information about Romania

If you have any questions that I do not answer on Postcards, please do not hesitate to email to me

Enjoy!

Julie

PS I was hoping that "Postcards" would inspire others to keep up the "Holiday Journal" tradition by writing their travels on a Suite 101 Postcard page ;--) (Hey, a tradition has to start somewhere!)If you are interest in sharing your travels please contact Julie

A popular "shoe string" guide book web site full of useful information. Have a look at "destinations" to find some fabulous photographs and travel info, "Postcards" to read what other travelers have to share about their travels or post a question on "The Thorn Tree."
