Cheap Sunglasses?
Not a chance.

Sunglasses. What is there to say about them? They block harmful U/V rays (so the literature says), they are oh so simple to lose (or sit upon), they, depending on the style, may give you a certain coolness factor, and -- above all -- they're ridiculously expensive.

So why am I writing about a sunglasses Website? Because it's gorgeous.

Revo, who is of late replacing Oakley as the sunglass maker de rigeur, has a beautiful site that manages to thoroughly exhaust the whole subject of shades.

The design conception is immaculate (sorry!), but I've got a quibble with the obligatory "about us" page -- there's a zillion and one international phone numbers and addresses, but NOT ONE email address or "mailto:" tag! Go figure.

The style ("collection") pages have great matrices to let you know just which ridiculously expensive lens colors you can get with which ridiculously expensive frame shape. I gotta say, in Revo's defense, that their styles are all over the place -- from these '50s-style goggles (which I happen to like), all the way to the mondo bizarro Mod Wraps, which probably only look good on German industrial designers who favor black turtlenecks and those nasty French cigarettes.

An Unidentified Approaching Object
Hmmm....what is it? Well, it's Finnish. Does that help? I think it's an Art College's magazine. I think. Whatever it is, it's a scream. Plus, the English-language translations are pretty flawless.

Fine Art Museum of San Francisco
Wow. You want a JPEG of a 16th-century Japanese woodcut? Go here. Maybe one of Monet's waterlily series? This great site features a keyword-searchable, 60,000-image+ database, including sculptures, photos, and other objets d'art.

My Moments of Light
Website of Charles "Chuck" "Toxic" Pickett, American photojournalist. His pics are great, the layout's nice, and his list of photo-related links is unsurpassed.

The Single Malt Scotch Whisky Page
For a wee cyber-dram, belly up to this page. You can even submit your own "Top 10" list. Let's see....1) Glengoyne, 2) Glenlivet, 3) Bruichladdich, 4) Auchentoshen, 5) Laphroaig...
