Two authors enter computer gaming world
Adams and Clancy developing games with their companies

Two best selling authors recently announced that they will help their gaming companies produce and write games.

Douglas Adams, author of the best selling Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, will create a graphic adventure called Starship Titanic. The game is being developed by Digital Village, a company that is owned jointly by Adams. Adams' professional style of writing will greatly enhance a genre that needs it. Starship Titanic could be the game that lets adventure gaming finally take off.

Starship is an original idea by Adams, who is once again getting involved in computer gaming. In the early 80's he did stuff for Infocom, developer of Zork and its sequels. Starship Titanic will be a comedic science-fiction title. It will supposedly have the very best design and graphics out there currently. It will also have a very neat feature, the player will actually be able to say anything to a character on the screen and it will reply back to them in a manner that makes sense. With stunning graphics, cool features, and a best selling author writing for it, Starship Titanic can't miss!

Another well known author is entering the waters of computer gaming. Tom Clancy, author of such books as Red Storm Rising, and Hunt for Red October, and his company Red Storm Entertainment will produce many political/war games. Two are currently in the process: Politika, and Planet Texas. Politika is an online-only game that resembles Risk is the Soviet Union. This game supposedly combines multi-player gaming and chatting, the two most popular activities on the net. Also, through remarkable 3D technology, Red Storm has produced Planet Texas. The gamer is pitted as a new comer to town who wants to clean it up. Through interaction and combat, they go at it against other computer players in an arena just for this. This sounds like two fun games from a new, promising company.
