The FAFSA
It's not too late!
So you have a lot of school work. Maybe it is your senior year of high school and you are busy with preperations for graduation. Or maybe you're in college and you are trying to finish up your final projects. So what! Stop what you are doing. Pick up a copy of the FAFSA and complete it. It is not too late.
You like everyone else just haven't had the time. This year you really are going to do it. Well, not if you don't start. The FAFSA isn't due any time soon for the 1997-1998 school year (June 30, 1998), but it is definitely worth it to turn it in early. The Department of Education starts processing FAFSA applications on January 1 every year.
Sure the earlier you turn it in, the better chance you have for getting financial aid. If you don't turn it in, though, you won't be getting any.

Completing the FAFSA
Approximately two-thirds of financial aid comes from US Department of Education programs. The FAFSA isn't the end all, be all of financial aid. The government has other financial aid programs.
