Finding the right auto insurance policy
Buying a new vehicle is all about happiness and some of your dreams coming true, but not without some responsibilities too. As soon as you hold the key to your new vehicle, you would need auto insurance policy. It is of course mandatory that you buy a policy and get your automobile covered because otherwise you will not be able to drive it. Understand that the registration of your automobile can be done later, but insurance should accompany your car right out of the agency’s doors.
You may be a little sceptical about this information, but there is a proper reason behind it; alarming increase in rate of accidents and thefts. So how would you know which policy to buy?
Coverage: When looking for auto insurance policy, make sure you ask the provider about coverage. The scope would help you in determining, what all can be left and what should be included. This way, you will be able to distinguish between covering passengers, just yourself or third person (whoever may drive your vehicle). Such questions can help you in finding a better policy.
Who all are to be covered: One thing is clear that there is no auto insurance policy that will cover everyone; you, any other driver, your family, third party or other passengers. Normally, people tend to opt for third party insurance coverage which allows you to pay off the damage of third person/other vehicle that may get damaged by your vehicle. This is the lowest insurance policy.
Fully comprehensive policy: this policy allows you to get extended coverage. It means that you and your vehicle, both are covered. Either the cost of repair is paid, or in case the cost is more, then your vehicle may be asked for market value.
Personal injuries coverage: This type of coverage may be mandated by law of your region. It allows you to get the medical expenses covered. So, in case you are injured, the expenses of medical attention would be covered.
