However, you need to understand that there are different types of insurance policies depending upon your needs and requirements as well as the scope of insurance coverage you are looking for. It depends upon which policy you take. There are number of policies and you can choose any one out of them. There are seven standard forms of insurance which are known as HO.
• HO1 is the first type of insurance. This is designed in such a way so as to provide basic coverage against 11 types of threats. These threats will include explosion, lightning, windstorm, fire, smoke, vandalism or theft, riots, window breakage, damage from vehicles or aircrafts and volcanic eruption.
• Next form of insurance is HO2 and it covers 17 threats, which include the 11 mentioned in HO1 plus the others that you can specify.
• HO3 is same as HO1 as it covers all risks mentioned in HO1 but it is for single family homes.
• HO4 is for tenants and it is exactly similar to HO3.
• HO5 is the best as it gives you peace of mind. HO5 provide coverage for all the contents of your house, no matter what is the cause of loss.
• For condominium owners, HO6 is the perfect insurance.
• HO8 provides the modified coverage.
